Species information

Grevillea baileyana     McGill.

This introduced tree is commonly known as white oak.

Grevillea baileyana is described as a "dicot" in the Proteaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Natural distribution is in North Queensland. Occassionally found as a garden escapee in nearby bushland.  

It has not been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 3 Fraser Coast localities: Maryborough, Talegalla Weir, Tinana.
