Species information

Casuarina cunninghamiana subsp. cunninghamiana     Miq.

This native tree is commonly known as river she-oak.

Casuarina cunninghamiana subsp. cunninghamiana is described as a "dicot" in the Casuarinaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

A tree of river banks. Reported on the Mary River, but not recorded in the Fraser Coast region. Dioecious (PlantNET FloraOnline). Regarded as a wetland species in Queensland WetlandInfo.

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 12 Fraser Coast localities: Boompa, Gigoomgan, Glenorchy, Howard, Maryborough, Pioneers Rest, River Heads, St Mary, Talegalla Weir, Tiaro, Tinana, Yengarie.
