Causonis australasica     L.M.Lu & Jackes

This native vine or climber is commonly known as water vine.

Causonis australasica is described as a "dicot" in the Vitaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Uncommon in the Fraser Coast region recorded at Mt Kanigan and Tinana Creek. Reported at Dundowran Beach. Previously known as Causonis japonica.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 4 Fraser Coast localities: Bidwill, Burrum Heads, Dundowran Beach, Tuan Forest.
