Species information

Cephalaralia cephalobotrys     (F.Muell.) Harms

This native vine or climber is commonly known as climbing panax.

Cephalaralia cephalobotrys is described as a "dicot" in the Araliaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

In the Fraser Coast region recorded only on K'gari (Fraser Island). Disjunct population. Information and photos from south-east Queensland and eslewhere at https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/taxa/538078-Cephalaralia-cephalobotrys.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
