Species information

Chamaecrista rotundifolia var. rotundifolia     (Pers.) Greene

This introduced groundcover is commonly known as Wynne cassia.

Chamaecrista rotundifolia var. rotundifolia is described as a "dicot" in the Leguminosae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is not classified as it is not native to Queensland. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Becoming more common in the region especially as a weed of road sides.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 20 Fraser Coast localities: Antigua, Bauple Forest, Beelbi Creek, Bidwill, Burrum Heads, Owanyilla, St Mary, Sunshine Acres, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Tandora, Teddington, Teebar, Tiaro, Tinana, Tinana South, Tuan Forest, Walkers Point, Walligan, Yengarie.
