Cinnamomum oliveri     F.M.Bailey

This native tree is commonly known as Oliver's sassafras.

Cinnamomum oliveri is described as a "dicot" in the Lauraceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Very uncommon in the Fraser Coast region recorded on K'gari (Fraser Island) and Tinana Creek. Reported along Tinana Creek from Talegalla Weir southwards. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 4 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple Forest, K'gari, Talegalla Weir, Tuan Forest.
