Very uncommon in the Fraser Coast region reported at Talegalla Weir with presence confirmed by Queensland Herbarium April 2018. Elsewhere distribution is mainly in the tropics with outlying records from Mundubbera west of the Fraser Coast region and Coolum to the south. Listed as a special least concern species in Queensland (https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/plants-animals/plants/protected-plants/harvesting).
