Stylidium diffusum     R.Br.

This native groundcover is commonly known as trigger plant.

Stylidium diffusum is described as a "dicot" in the Stylidiaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Very uncommon in the Fraser Coast region reported at Talegalla Weir with presence confirmed by Queensland Herbarium April 2018. Elsewhere distribution is mainly in the tropics with outlying records from Mundubbera west of the Fraser Coast region and Coolum to the south. Listed as a special least concern species in Queensland (https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/plants-animals/plants/protected-plants/harvesting). https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/111610784 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
