Species information

Comesperma hispidulum     Pedley

This native shrub is commonly known as match-heads.

Comesperma hispidulum is described as a "dicot" in the Polygalaceae family.

Flagged as a potential locally significant species in the Fraser Coast Region. In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

Very uncommon in the Fraser Coast region recorded at Mount Walsh. Widespread distribution to the north and south of the Fraser Coast region.  

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census but is not listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.
