Species information

Panicum effusum     R.Br.

This native groundcover is commonly known as hairy panic.

Panicum effusum is described as a "monocot" in the Poaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 25 Fraser Coast localities: Antigua, Bauple, Bauple Forest, Beaver Rock, Booral, Burgowan, Cherwell, Craignish, Duckinwilla, Granville, Maryborough, Mount Urah, Owanyilla, Point Vernon, Poona, River Heads, St Mary, Sunshine Acres, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Teddington, Tuan Forest, Urraween, Walliebum, Walligan.
