Paspalidium distans     (Trin.) Hughes

This native groundcover is commonly known as shotgrass.

Paspalidium distans is described as a "monocot" in the Poaceae family.

In the Queensland Nature Conservation Act it is classified as Least Concern. Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act it is not classified.

In Plants of the World online (Kew) known as Setaria distans. 

It has been recorded in the Wide Bay district in the Queensland Herbarium Census and is listed as occurring in the Fraser Coast region in Queensland Herbarium Wildlife Online.

Reported at 17 Fraser Coast localities: Bauple Forest, Burrum Heads, Cherwell, Duckinwilla, Mount Urah, Owanyilla, Point Vernon, Poona, River Heads, Sunshine Acres, Takura, Talegalla Weir, Teebar, Tiaro, Tuan Forest, Urraween, Walligan.
